It was a great night !
During Art Basel, I had the honor of welcoming Laurence Gartel to Fisher Island Club for the unveiling of his latest “Art Car” and another new art piece he designed exclusively for Fisher Island Club. Gartel, who originally taught Andy Warhol how to use the Amiga Computer in the 1980s, is known as the “Father of Digital Art” because of his pioneering work in the Digital Art movement. In the past four years, Gartel has transformed a Tesla Roadster, a Rolls Royce, a Ferrari, a Cadillac and – this year – a Mercedes-Benz Super Car as part of his “Art Cars” collection.
